Welcome back to the weekly roller coaster of fantasy football that we all know and love. With week three quickly approaching, some managers are feeling like geniuses, while others are contemplating their decisions to play this year.
Fret not, as we’re here to right the ship and smooth out your fantasy rosters with our weekly shopping list that features a young rookie wide receiver primed for a breakout, a veteran receiver facing struggles, and an electric young rookie running back with a growing role.
On the other hand, we also have a list of players that seems too good to be true (and likely are), which features several week two overachievers and one ridiculous performance.
So buckle in, grab those trade calculators, fire up those trade group chats, and let's separate the true trends of this season from the early-season mirages.
Sell High
Kenneth Walker
Seattle Seahawks - RB
What a performance from Kenneth Walker! After his poor performance in week one, Walker bounced back in week two and finished with 19 PPR points, finishing as the RB9 in week two.
Despite this showing, Walker had only 13 carries—fewer than teammate Zach Charbonnet’s 15—reflecting Seattle’s clear committee approach.
Walker has also dealt with an extended injury history, missing six games last season and dealing with a multitude of ankle and other lower-body injuries throughout his NFL career.
Fantasy managers love the hot hand, and Walker is burning up after this performance, making his trade value well worth the sell.
Target more stability at the running back position, or grab yourself another FLEX option for Walker, before he burns out and his trade window has passed.
Walker is expected to split carries for the rest of the 2025 season, and his week two game versus the Steelers was a fortunate one. Act now to capitalize before he returns to a grittier, split role in Seattle.
Wan’Dale Robinson
New York Giants - WR
Wan’Dale Robinson dropped jaws with his week two performance, hauling in 8 catches for 142 receiving yards (his new career high) and a touchdown in the overtime thriller against the Cowboys.
Robinson’s big game has likely caught attention and sparked interest as a future starter for many teams. Now is the time to take advantage of his increased value.
In most weeks, Robinson is used as a short to intermediate receiver, gathering a majority of his yards from PPR points and lacking the yards to put up elite numbers.
This week’s performance from Robinson brought about many explosive plays, displayed by Robinson’s 17.75 yards per catch, which is much higher than the league average and particularly Robinson's personal average of 8.7 yards per catch.
While this flash is real, it may be more fireworks than foundation, and likely Robinson’s value has peaked, and now is the perfect time to sell high and gain back tremendous value.
Rhamondre Stevenson
New England Patriots - RB
Finishing up our sell-high players for this week is Rhamondre Stevenson, who had a major bounce-back game against the Dolphins in week two.
This 21-point performance looks huge at first glance, but when you dive into the stats, it looks more like a one-week wonder type of game.
Stevenson had only 11 rushes for 54 yards, but a majority of his points came from the receiving game, where he totaled 5 receptions for 88 receiving yards and an additional 2-point conversion.
This reliance on passing production for fantasy success is a hard thing to replicate, and Stevenson could see his target share drop dramatically week-to-week.
Additionally, Stevenson is sharing the backfield with rookie TreyVeon Henderson, who will take valuable touches away from Stevenson as Henderson’s role increases.
While this performance was certainly legit, Stevenson’s fantasy upside is capped with split touches and unsure target shares.
Try packaging him now for a high upside FLEX option, and chase the value to win your 2025 fantasy football championship.
Buy Low
A.J. Brown
Philadelphia Eagles - WR
After A.J. Brown’s poor performance in week 1, many managers had already hit the panic button, but even those who held Brown in hopes of a better week 2 are beginning to panic now.
That panic is exactly what we’re looking to capitalize on, as Brown still led the Eagles in targets in Week 2, displaying that he still has a major role on this team.
With the Eagles playing as a run-heavy team throughout the first two games, Brown has seen fewer opportunities in the passing game, but as the year goes on and Philadelphia is forced to lean more heavily on the passing game, Brown’s numbers will jump.
With Brown’s extended history as an elite wide receiver, expect to see a major jump in his value as the Eagles smooth out their offensive schemes and get the ball to Brown more.
Cash in and buy Brown at this majorly discounted price while you still can, and reap the rewards as you waltz to the playoffs this season.
Matthew Golden
Green Bay Packers - WR
Rookie Matthew Golden burst onto the NFL scene back in February, with a blazing fast 4.29 40-yard-dash at the NFL Combine, but has yet to showcase that speed and talent in the NFL, averaging just 2.55 PPR points through his first two NFL starts.’
However, this is soon to change.
With fellow teammate Jayden Reed going down with an injury in week 2, which will sideline him for the remainder of the season, Golden will see an increased target share in an electric Green Bay offense.
Additionally, quarterback Jordan Love just barely missed Golden on several deep throws and touchdown passes, limiting the potential fantasy points that Golden could have received.
With Golden known for his explosive big-play ability throughout college, with an aDOT (average depth of target) of 13.5 yards, the Packers will look to fully capitalize on Golden’s ability to stretch the field through the upcoming weeks.
Look to add Golden to your team by moving consistency now for future improved production. Take the risk on Golden to pave the way for your championship run at the end of the season.
Quinshon Judkins
Cleveland Browns - RB
Last week, I told you to sell Dylan Sampson at his highest value for multiple reasons, one of which was the return of Quinshon Judkins.
Judkins impressed in his NFL debut, leading the Browns’ rushing attack with 61 rushing yards and 3 receptions for 10 receiving yards, while playing just 27% of snaps in week 2.
The Browns announced Judkins as the RB1 on the depth chart, meaning that he will receive even more opportunities than he had last week and will continue to grow his opportunity count as the season progresses.
Some fantasy managers want to see immediate production, and even though the Browns named him as the starting running back, there is competition within the room that will also be stealing opportunities.
Because of this, some will be looking to move off of Judkins for a more reliable option, making him an easy buy-low heading into week 3 of the 2025 NFL season.
Final Thoughts
With week 3 approaching rapidly, make these moves and capitalize on the value that is there for this week.
Make sure to tune in next week for another set of buy-low and sell-high candidates, and go and win your 2025 fantasy football championships!
