3 Bold Predictions for the 2025 Dynasty Fantasy Football Season

Year after year, the dynasty fantasy football season contains more surprises and breakouts than managers expect. It’s hard to predict how a certain season will go; managers are forced to balance injuries, trades, and depth chart changes that constantly affect their players’ outlooks.

If you’re able to predict some of these twists and turns before they occur, that knowledge can greatly improve your chances of making a deep playoff run.

In this article, I’m going to make three bold predictions about the 2025 dynasty fantasy football season that I believe have a good shot at actually happening. This time next year, this article will either make me look like an expert or a total fool; it’ll be fun.

Let’s get into the article and break down why I think these three bold predictions could actually happen!

1. Malik Nabers Finishes as a Top 3 WR (PPR)

Malik Nabers had one of the best rookie seasons in recent memory and was one of the headline playmakers in an elite rookie wideout class in the 2024 NFL Draft. The LSU product recorded 170 targets, 109 receptions, 1,204 receiving yards, and 7 TDs in a stellar rookie campaign in New York.

The former sixth-overall pick showed remarkable talent and playmaking ability during his first professional season, routing up defenders, making unbelievable catches, and proving himself as a reliable contributor for New York for years to come.

After Nabers put up fantastic numbers with the worst quarterback room in the league, the Giants decided to upgrade their weakest position to maximize the talent of their top wideout. They traded up to select former Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart with the 25th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, while also signing veteran signal-callers Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston to short-term contracts in free agency.

Regardless of who is named the starting quarterback out of the gate, Nabers already has a better quarterback situation than he did in 2024. That reason alone is enough to bump him into top-three conversations in terms of potential.

Nabers is being selected at the end of the first round in most fantasy drafts (8th overall according to FantasyPros’ ADP). This price is a steal if the Giants provide him with enough offensive support for his production to mirror his elite talent.

I have a lot of belief in Nabers to finish as one of the best wide receivers in fantasy football this season. If there’s even a chance that last year’s offensive roadblocks have been cleared, allowing him to truly reach his ceiling, he’s going to be one of the best assets in dynasty fantasy football. He’s only 21 years old, meaning that domination in 2025 would set him up for years of top-tier production.

Malik Nabers truly has one of the highest ceilings of any player in the NFL in 2025.

2. The 2025 Rookie RB Class Performs Better Than Expected

This year’s rookie running back class was one of the best we’ve ever seen. In terms of both talent and depth, it had everything NFL teams could possibly need. I fully expect several rookie running backs to skyrocket in value by the end of the regular season.

My top five rookies heading into this year at the position are Ashton Jeanty, Omarion Hampton, Kaleb Johnson, TreVeyon Henderson, and Quinshon Judkins. I believe that each of them will excel in 2025 and that there’s an actual chance that every single one of these rookie running backs ends up with a major role.

As we know, rookie running backs usually pick up steam by the end of the fantasy football season. I see no reason for this not to be true in 2025, especially with a generational draft class at the position.

The case for Ashton Jeanty is obvious. He was drafted to Las Vegas sixth-overall and is one of the best prospects we’ve ever seen at the position. He posted elite statistics in college at Boise State and cemented his name as one of the best to ever touch the field at that level. His patience, speed, contact balance, and physicality, among other outstanding qualities, made him a can’t-miss draft prospect.

After drafting a running back so high, it would make sense for the Raiders to shift their offensive identity to the rushing attack. With Geno Smith at the quarterback position and plenty of playmakers at the skill positions in Brock Bowers, Jack Bech, Jakobi Meyers, and Tre Tucker, defenses won’t truly be able to zero in on Jeanty. He’s a top-tier dynasty option and an elite asset going forward.

Omarion Hampton was selected by the Chargers with the 22nd overall pick. He has an elite blend of size, contact balance, and elusiveness that makes him nearly impossible to bring down. His ability as a receiver should also make him a valuable PPR asset for dynasty. I am confident in his ability to outperform former Steelers running back Najee Harris, acquired in free agency by the team this offseason, and become the true starting running back for this backfield. He should have plenty of fantasy relevance in Year 1.

Kaleb Johnson, TreVeyon Henderson, and Quinshon Judkins are all unique prospects who I believe can rise above the competition in their respective backfields. Johnson is a patient and physical runner with a surprising burst of speed. He’ll win the Steelers' starting job in no time, leaving Jaylen Warren as the team’s RB2.

Henderson is a home-run threat and a great receiver, he should excel in PPR leagues and is capable of ripping off a 50-yard touchdown run at any time. Even if veteran running back Rhamondre Stevenson retains a role in New England’s offense, which I expect him to do, Henderson will still be extremely relevant for dynasty going forward and should make a big impact in his rookie season.

Quinshon Judkins was one of the more polarizing options in this year’s draft. He boasts impressive burst, unreal athleticism, and impressive physicality. With limited backfield competition and a weak passing attack, Cleveland could rely on the Ohio State product as their bell-cow runner sooner rather than later.

3. Mason Taylor Finishes as a Top 12 TE (PPR)

Similar to the running backs, the 2025 rookie tight end class was one of the best we’ve seen in years. I truly believe that several from this group will emerge as starting tight ends quickly, taking the league by storm. Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland, Mason Taylor, Terrance Ferguson, and Oronde Gadsden II were some of my favorite targets at ADP in dynasty rookie drafts, with Elijah Arroyo and Harold Fannin Jr. profiling as talented, high-risk options for risk-loving dynasty managers.

Out of this group, I believe that Taylor has among the best chances to produce immediately. He is one of the only offensive playmakers for the New York Jets in the passing game, and with quarterback Justin Fields under center, he could see a lot of targets.

Bears tight end Cole Kmet had his three most productive seasons as a receiver of his career with Fields under center from 2021-2023, and if this trend follows, Taylor could be in for a surprising amount of fantasy production given his role in the offense and Fields’ tendencies.

Mason Taylor showed himself to be a prototypical tight end in his college days at LSU as a significant threat in the passing game as a receiver and in the run game as a blocker. He is great at both, with impressive routes, solid hands, and a large frame.

If Taylor is given the chance to be the team’s starting tight end, I don’t think the Jets’ coaching staff will be able to keep him off of the field. He is very talented at everything required to play the position and could be an immediate option in a passing attack with only one major threat at wide receiver in Garrett Wilson.

If Taylor produces in his rookie season, he’ll be looked at as a top dynasty option going forward in dynasty fantasy football. His ceiling for 2025 is around a top 12 finish at his position.
