Three Wide Receivers to Buy and Sell in 2025 Dynasty Fantasy Football

We are deep into the dynasty fantasy football offseason, and if you’re in the mood to make a trade, your team could become a lot better as a result. Many moves this offseason have caused several wide receivers to rise or fall in dynasty value, and making trades to buy or sell accordingly is a great way to boost your team’s overall value.

This article will outline three wide receivers to buy and sell in 2025 dynasty fantasy football; let’s get into the list!

Buy

Keon Coleman (BUF)

KTC Rank: WR46

Keon Coleman is one of the most undervalued receivers in dynasty fantasy football. After becoming a consensus late first-round selection in 2024 rookie drafts, Coleman had a rookie season marred by a lack of clarity and murkiness in terms of true dynasty value.

The ceiling is apparent and Coleman has the physical ability and contested-catch skills to become an alpha wide receiver for Buffalo. However, consistency is lacking in many parts of his game, and his health was a major damper on his fantasy success in 2024.

The former Florida State Seminole battled a wrist injury that kept him on the sideline for several games, a hindrance that reportedly had an effect on the remainder of his season.

Regardless, Coleman has a high-upside skill set and is tied to quarterback Josh Allen long-term. This boosts his value even higher and gives him the opportunity to take a step forward in 2025. He is a major buy-low candidate for dynasty fantasy football.

George Pickens (DAL)

KTC Rank: WR33

Former Steelers wide receiver George Pickens was traded to Dallas this offseason in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick. After a polarizing tenure in Pittsburgh, Pickens has been given a clean slate with Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys.

For reference, Pickens is going as the WR33 on KTC and the WR31 on the Dynasty Pulse Expert Consensus Rankings.

It’s easy to forget how dominant Pickens can look on the field at times while making acrobatic receptions, torching defenders downfield, or being a difference-maker as a run-blocker. He has all the talent in the world, but attitude concerns have plagued him throughout his career.

If he can make the most of a fresh start in Dallas, Pickens could end up as one of the best second options in the NFL. In 2023, he finished with 1,140 receiving yards. If the pass-heavy Dallas offense can tap into Pickens’ skill set as he lines up opposite superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, Pickens could prove many of the doubters wrong.

Amon-Ra St. Brown (DET)

KTC Rank: WR7

Amon-Ra St. Brown is one of the best buys in all of dynasty due to his lofty fantasy finish in 2024. He may not be the most obvious candidate, but the USC product is still only 25 years old and entering the prime of his career.

The Lions boasted one of the best offenses in all of fantasy football, fueled by a prolific passing attack. Even though offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is now in Chicago, I expect St. Brown’s usage to remain the same. If he is still the team’s top red-zone threat in the passing game, he will be just as productive in 2025 as he was this season.

St. Brown posted 1,263 receiving yards off of 115 receptions and 141 targets in 2024, finishing the season with the second-most receptions and the tenth-most targets in the NFL. He is a versatile weapon out of the slot and will reprise his role as Detroit’s top receiver this upcoming season.

His expensive trade price may make him a difficult asset to acquire, but he should be valued higher after finishing as a top-five fantasy receiver in each of the last two seasons. There’s no speculation when it comes to his ceiling; he has proven his worth over the past four years.

Sell

DK Metcalf (PIT)

KTC Rank: WR26

DK Metcalf, former star wideout for the Seattle Seahawks, was traded to Pittsburgh this offseason for a second-round pick to replace George Pickens as the team’s top receiver. After second-year wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba took over Metcalf’s former role as the top target in Seattle’s passing game, Metcalf became expendable, leading to the trade.

Metcalf is in a poor position in Pittsburgh. While veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be able to operate a solid offense, the team still doesn’t have a long-term answer under center on the roster.

DK Metcalf is also the most productive receiver on the team by a wide margin, meaning that while he may command a higher target share in 2025, defenses will be able to focus more of their coverage in his direction as well. If he shows the inconsistency we saw during the 2024 season this year, he may have a hard time finishing within the top 24 at his position.

It’s also a reasonable expectation to assume that the Steelers could shift to a run-first approach offensively in 2025. Rookie Kaleb Johnson now joins veteran Jaylen Warren in a massively underrated backfield.

This could be an underrated offense, but Metcalf is a massive focal point of the operation, to say the least.

Brandon Aiyuk (SF)

KTC Rank: WR38

Brandon Aiyuk suffered a torn ACL and MCL midway through the 2024 season, and his campaign was cut short in the process. To make matters worse, no timetable has been given for his return by the team, so it’s hard to predict when he’ll be back in action.

Aiyuk was a productive target when unburdened by injury, especially in 2023, but this knee issue is a serious one, and the wideout cannot afford to come back early. The necessary time must be taken to rehab the season-ending injury so that he can return to form at some point.

Aiyuk’s health is a major question mark moving forward, and his fluctuating production before the injury doesn’t exactly help his outlook. He is a sell-high candidate in dynasty fantasy football if you can get a deal done while his 2023 season isn’t too far away in the rearview mirror.

Michael Pittman Jr. (IND)

KTC Rank: WR49

Michael Pittman played through a serious back injury during the 2024 season, which significantly limited his ability on the field. However, things don’t look great for his outlook even now that he’s mostly healthy.

The Colts need Anthony Richardson to take a step in the right direction at the quarterback position quickly, or this experiment may be over soon. Pittman is Indy’s assumed top receiver, meaning that if Richardson isn’t up to the task, his fantasy value will suffer tremendously.

Pittman is a reliable player when healthy, but his fantasy value is slightly inflated because of his position on the depth chart. While he is technically the top receiver, young playmakers Josh Downs, Alec Pierce, and AD Mitchell are just as talented and will have the opportunity to take on larger roles in 2025.

Too many things could go wrong for Pittman and this Colts offense in 2025, so taking a bet on the receiver with the highest ADP and perceived dynasty value is a risky decision.
