2026 Dynasty Rookie Sleepers
Conner Weigman
Houston (QB)
I am once again asking you to consider Conner Weigman as your breakout quarterback for 2025. I’ve been high on Weigman since watching him dominate Ole Miss in just his first collegiate start.
Weigman has your prototypical quarterback build at 6’3” and 215 lbs to pair with plus arm strength. In his short career, Weigman has shown fantastic touch on the ball and he’s shown the ability to throw to all three levels of the field.
On top of that, Weigman is one of the few quarterbacks who has been able to consistently throw to the middle of the field. It’s also worth noting that Weigman was a five-star prospect (per 247 Sports) and ranked as the QB3 in his class.
Injuries are a massive concern, as Weigman has never played in more than six games in any of his three seasons. However, if he can stay healthy for 2025, expect big things out of the Houston transfer.
Makhi Hughes
Oregon (RB)
After doing some digging, Makhi Hughes is one of the backs that has started to rise up my board. Hughes came from a small school in Tulane but was dominant.
Hughes had a PFF rushing grade of 90.5 and also a ridiculous 3.96 Yards After Contact per Attempt mark. The main question is if Hughes can keep this up in 2025.
Hughes transferred up to Oregon, which is amazing to see because the level of competition will give us a much better indication of how good he really is. Admittedly, I haven’t been able to watch film on Hughes yet, which is the only reason he’s so low.
Once I get a better idea about whether Hughes is legit or a small conference star, I’ll adjust his ranking accordingly.
