Top 2025 Dynasty Rookie Risers & Fallers from the Senior Bowl (Day One)

The Reese’s Senior Bowl has finally begun, and it’s time to break down the risers and fallers from the first day of practice. Several players helped or hurt their draft stock in today’s drills, so it’s important to break down exactly what happened. In order to give you the most accurate information myself (Steve Bradshaw) and Joe Burks are covering this event live with media credentials.

These players could see their landing spots change based on this week’s results, so this event has a direct impact on dynasty rookie drafts. As a note, it’s good to remember that these players have plenty of time to change whatever direction they may be trending towards.

These drills and practices do not seal the fate of any player, and a lot can and will change before the NFL Draft. Let’s get to the list of risers and fallers.

Risers

Ollie Gordon - Steve

(RB, Oklahoma State)

Ollie Gordon started his rise before day one even began. Gordon officially weighed in at 6’1” 233 lbs, which answered a lot of questions about his speed concerns. Many didn’t believe Gordon even weighed his original 225 lbs, but after seeing him up close, there’s no doubt in my mind that Gordon is a tank.

The 2023 Gordon that we all fell in love with seemed to be on full display during day one. Gordon showed quick feet and, most importantly, natural hands. I saw Gordon routinely make one-handed catches in drills and in live action, he looked great as well. At this point, we know that Gordon won’t have home-run speed, but he reminds me a bit of Najee Harris as a prospect.

Jayden Higgins - Joe

(WR, Iowa State)

Although Jayden Higgins notably struggled to separate deep down the field, he looked great otherwise on the drills held on the first day of practice. He was able to get open over the middle of the field and showed good route-running skills and agility for his size.

Higgins is a high-floor prospect, and if he can improve his stock this week, a team may take a chance on him in the second round of the draft. He will be one to watch as the Senior Bowl continues, but he could easily vault himself into early Day 2 discussions.

Jack Bech - Joe

(WR, TCU)

Jack Bech had a highlight-worthy first day of practice, coming up with a ridiculous catch in the full-team scrimmage drills today, climbing the ladder to come up with a massive grab over the middle. Plays like these could easily push his name into the earlier part of Day 2.

He struggled a little in 1-on-1s, but we will look to see him make some improvement in the coming days. Bech is a great route-runner with sure hands who would be a great addition to any NFL offense in need of his services. Be on the lookout for him to continue his rise up draft boards as the pre-draft process marches along.

Tez Johnson - Joe

(WR, Oregon)

Oregon wideout Tez Johnson saw his draft stock fall after he measured in at 156 lbs before the first day of practice. When he enters the league, he will ,without a doubt, be one of the lightest wide receivers to reach the professional level ever.

However, on the first day of practice, Johnson blocked out the noise and dominated the 1-on-1 drills. Against several of the Senior Bowl’s top cornerbacks, Johnson achieved consistent separation and won almost every single rep that he participated in. While his size may still be a concern, Johnson proved that he belongs in the pros.

Damien Martinez - Steve

(RB, Miami)

Damien Martinez is a player that continues to grow on me. I turned on his tape for the first time before heading down to the Senior Bowl and I was impressed. Martinez measured in at 5’11” 226 lbs, showcasing his three down size. It’s not just the size, though, because Martinez looked quick with the ball in his hands. On top of that, Martinez also impressed as a pass catcher.

When I watched Martinez go through drills, I saw that he also had great feet, which is essential for a power back. Martinez has a ton of power in his game which is an elite trait to pair with his size. I expect Martinez to fly up my 2025 dynasty rookie rankings when all is said and done.

Elijah Arroyo - Steve

(TE, Miami)

Elijah Arroyo was my biggest riser of any offensive player on day one. I watched Arroyo before coming down and he showed a ton of flashes. Arroyo measured in at 6’4” 251 lbs, so he’s not a smaller tight end either, which should help his draft capital. In the 1v1 drills, Arroyo was cooking defenders on a number of different routes.

What stood out to me the most about Arroyo was his fantastic hands and how well he moved. Arroyo was extremely smooth and his size/speed combination made him extremely tough to guard. It’s starting to look like this tight-end class will be a lot deeper than I initially expected.

Fallers

Bhayshul Tuten - Steve

(RB, Virginia Tech)

For a lot of these fallers, it’s not that they had horrible days. It’s just that as the other players boosted their stock, these players stayed the same. Bhayshul Tuten is the perfect example for me. Tuten measured in at 5’8” 211 lbs but didn’t look very powerful when going through the days drills.

I wasn’t very impressed with any part of Tutens game either. Tuten didn’t look great in the receiving game, he wasn’t very expensive in the scrimmages and his movement skills seemed average at best. It seems like a lot of people have Tuten as a sleeper, but I just don’t see it.

Woody Marks - Steve

(RB, USC)

Similar to Tuten, I don’t think Woody Marks killed his stock by any means. Marks was just a guy I really expected to show out and that wasn’t the case. Especially as a receiver, Marks just looked like a middle-of-the-pack type of player. When that’s supposed to be his calling card, it’s not a great look.

In fairness to Marks, he weighed in well at 5’10” 215 lbs. I just didn’t see much power or explosiveness out of Marks, either. Marks looks like a fine NFL back, but a far cry from the Sleeper many projected him out to be.

Jalen Milroe - Steve

(QB, Alabama)

Jalen Milroe was the only player on this list who truly dropped his stock. We saw these issues on film but it was even worse because he had a clean pocket. Milroe would consistently struggle with his accuracy, overthrowing his intermediate and even short routes multiple times.

Even during the scrimmages, Milroe would consistently take way too long to get rid of the ball as well. Without the option to take off, Milroe looked completely lost as a passer. When you’re having this many issues with a clean pocket, I’m out.

Xavier Restrepo - Joe

(WR, Miami)

It wasn’t a strong day of practice for wide receiver Xavier Restrepo, who struggled to create separation in his reps taken in the 1-on-1 drills. He had trouble getting open in both the shorter and deeper areas of the field, definitely hurting his draft stock throughout the first day.

Xavier Restrepo saw his draft stock skyrocket after a productive season with quarterback Cam Ward. If he can deliver on what we saw at Miami through the rest of the week, he should still hear his name called relatively early on draft day.

Restrepo had plenty of time to rebound and will look to separate himself from the rest of the pack during the second day of practice.
