Dynasty Fantasy Football Top Waiver Wire Adds for Week 10

You know the drill by now. The most fluid waiver targets in dynasty are injury fill-ins, wide receiver spot starters,  ambiguous backfields, and quarterbacks in line for increases in playing time. Let’s get right to it.

Waiver Adds

Marcus Mariota, QB, Washington Commanders

Unfortunately, Jayden Daniels suffered a gruesome elbow dislocation in garbage time of the Commanders’ loss to the Seattle Seahawks. While I don’t know exactly how much time Daniels will miss, this won’t be a short absence.

Marcus Mariota will start for the Commanders during that time, in what feels more and more like a lost season. Only contenders in need of a spot starter or quarterback depth should be interested in Mariota.

Emari Demercado, RB, Arizona Cardinals

After making a crucial early celebration fumble that ultimately contributed to an embarrassing collapse against the Tennessee Titans, Emari Demercado appears to be out of the doghouse. He paced the Cardinals’ backfield in touches against the Cobwoys.

Demercado finished with a modest but respectable 14-79-0 rushing line against the Cowboys, and he figures to be an uninspiring depth piece moving forward. Only competing rosters in need of running back depth should be interested.

Luke Musgrave, TE, Green Bay Packers

Tucker Kraft is sadly going to miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL, interrupting a breakout campaign that saw Kraft ascend into star status.

The next man up will be Luke Musgrave, who lost the starting tight end job to Kraft despite having higher draft capital in the same draft class. While he’s not exceptionally exciting, he is an elite athlete in his own right, and could benefit from the same catch-and-run plays that Kraft was so elite at executing.

Musgrave isn’t nearly as good as Kraft, but he will be playing most of the Packers’ offensive snaps for the rest of the season. Only competing rosters should be interested.

Greg Dulcich, TE, Miami Dolphins

While Darren Waller misses time with a pectoral injury, and keep in mind pec injuries are rarely minor, Greg Dulcich will serve as the Dolphins’ primary tight end. This can be a lucrative role, as we saw with Jonnu Smith last year and Darren Waller for a brief stretch this season.

Against Baltimore, Dulcich contributed with a respectable 5-49-0 line. Only competing teams in TE-premium leagues should be interested.

Tahj Brooks, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

With Samaje Perine sidelined with an ankle injury, Tahj Brooks projects to step in as the RB2 in Cincinnati. While I don't quite believe in the measurables or athleticism for Brooks, he is a well-rounded player who for all we know could siphon some touches away from starter Chase Brown.

Primarily rebuilding teams with some churnable pieces at the end of their bench should be interested in Brooks, on the off chance he earns a fantasy-relevant role.

Chris Moore / Jaylin Lane, WR, Washington Commanders

With Terry McLaurin injuring his quad and Luke McCaffrey breaking his collarbone, Jaylin Lane and Chris Moore have been promoted to starting wide receiver status. I don’t particularly believe in them as talents, but each will get a chance to state their case in a now-ambiguous position group.

Any roster type can kick the tires on Lane, who has the benefit of being a rookie, but rebuilders are more likely to have room on their roster. For his part, Lane is an explosive run-after-catch threat but does not have much experience as a downfield route runner.

In Moore’s case, really only competing teams in need of spot starters should care.

Deep League Stashes

Terrell Jennings, RB, New England Patriots

I can scarcely believe we’ve gotten to this point, but Jennings should be rostered unless Rhamondre Stevenson comes back for the Patriots’ next game. He got double-digit touches and punched in a touchdown in Week 9.

In most dynasty leagues, any running back with a 50-50 role should be rostered.

Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Keaton Mitchell out-touched Justice Hill last week, although Hill will always be used more in negative game scripts. For his part, Mitchell is explosive and could eventually earn a larger role.

Only rebuilders should add Mitchell.

John FitzPatrick, TE, Green Bay Packers

I can’t make much of a case for FitzPatrick other than to tell you he’s now in an ambiguous position group, and may have a chance to fill in for Tucker Kraft instead of Luke Musgrave.
