Fantasy Football Week 8 Rankings (RB, WR, QB, TE)

We are heading into Week 8 of the 2025 fantasy football season, and by now, fantasy managers have a clear picture of their team’s strengths and weaknesses. With bye weeks and injuries starting to pile up, making the right lineup decisions can be the difference between a playoff push and falling behind in the standings.

This week’s rankings highlight the top options at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end, along with a few must start players who are in prime position to deliver strong fantasy production. Whether you’re streaming a QB, looking for upside at WR, or finding a reliable TE play, these Week 8 rankings have you covered.

24. Tua Tagovailoa @ ATL

Must Start: Quarterback

Justin Herbert vs MIN

Justin Herbert plays a more difficult defense in the Vikings, but Jalen Hurts just had his best passing game last week against them. Herbert is coming off a game where he had over 400 passing yards and 3 passing touchdowns. With all the weapons and a game where I think there will be a lot of points and Herbert is set up to explode.

Week 8 Tight End Rankings

Tier 1

1.    Tyler Warren vs TEN

2.    Jake Ferguson vs WAS

Tier 2

18. Evan Engram vs DAL

Tier 5

19. Theo Johnson @ PHI

20. Juwan Johnson vs TB

21. Dalton Schultz vs SF

22. Jonnu Smith vs GB

23. Chig Okonkwo @ IND

24. Noah Fant vs NYJ

Must Start: Tight End

Mason Taylor @ CIN

Mason Taylor plays the worst defense when it comes to tight ends with the Bengals, and I am expecting the Jets offense to be better than last week. The Jets should lean on Taylor, and I am expecting good volumefrom him this week. I believe Taylor has extreme upside this week and should pop off.

Week 8 Wide Receiver Rankings

Tier 1

1.    Justin Jefferson @ LAC

2.    Rashee Rice vs WAS

3.    Ja’Marr Chase vs NYJ

9.    Chris Olave vs TB

10. Emeka Egbuka @ NO

Tier 3

11. A.J. Brown vs NYG

12. Ladd McConkey vs MIN

13. Quentin Johnston vs MIN

14. Jaylen Waddle @ ATL

24. Keenan Allen vs MIN

25. DJ Moore @ BAL

26. Matthew Golden @ PIT

27. Romeo Doubs @ PIT

28. Kendrick Bourne @ HOU

Tier 6

29. Wan’Dale Robinson @ PHI

30. Rashid Shaheed vs TB

31. Khalil Shakir @ CAR

32. Kayshon Boutte vs CLE

33. Jerry Jeudy @ NE

34. Alec Pierce vs TEN

35. Marvin Mims Jr. vs DAL

36. Juan Jennings @ HOU

Must Start: Wide Receiver

DeVonta Smith vs NYG

The Eagles offense finally looks like they are headed in the right direction and after playing a tough Vikingsdefense, they now play a bottom defense in the Giants. Last week DeVonta Smith had 9 receptions, 183 receiving yards, and a receiving touchdown on 11 targets. I expect similar volume and touchdown upsideagainst the weak secondary this week.

Week 8 Running Back Rankings

Tier 1

1.    Christian McCaffrey @ HOU

2.    Jonathon Taylor vs TEN

3.    Bijan Robinson vs MIA

16. Jaylen Warren vs GB

17. Rachaad White @ NO

Tier 4

18. Chase Brown vs NYJ

19. Jacory Croskey-Merritt @ KC

20. Jordan Mason @ LAC

21. Alvin Kamara vs TB

22. Kimani Vidal vs MIN

23. Rhamondre Stevenson vs CLE

Tier 5

24. Rico Dowdle vs BUF

25. Tony Pollard @ IND

26. Isiah Pacheco vs WAS

27. Woody Marks vs SF

28. Chuba Hubbard vs BUF

29. TreVeyon Henderson vs CLE

Tier 6

30. Nick Chubb vs SF

31. Kenneth Gainwell vs GB

32. RJ Harvey vs DAL

33. Tyjae Spears @ IND

34. Kyle Monangai @ BAL

35. Kareem Hunt vs WAS

36. Kendre Miller vs TB

Must Start: Running Back

Breece Hall @ CIN

Jaylen Warren has carved out a key role in the Steelers offense thanks to his versatility and receiving skills. Against a Bengals defense that struggles with pass catching backs and running backs in general, Warrenshould rack up solid all purpose yardage and a strong RB2 finish in Week 7.

Conclusion

Week 8 sets up as a high scoring slate across several matchups, and the must start players stand out as key difference makers. Justin Herbert should continue his hot streak against an exposed Vikings secondary, while Breece Hall has the perfect opportunity to shine versus a Bengals defense that struggles to contain explosive backs.

DeVonta Smith looks poised for another monster outing as the Eagles offense heats up, and Mason Taylor offers sneaky TE1 upside in a dream matchup against Cincinnati. Start these four players with confidence in Week 8, they could be the ones who carry your fantasy team to victory.
