2025 Fantasy Football Week 6 Rankings RB WR QB TE and Must Starts

The 2025 Fantasy Football season keeps heating up as we head into Week 6, and with injuries, bye weeks, and breakout players shaking up lineups, getting your lineup decisions right is more important than ever.

Below is the complete quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end rankings, along with this week’s must start players who can give your team a much needed edge.

Must Start: Quarterback

Bo Nix @ NYJ

The Jets’ defense has been inconsistent, and Nix has quietly delivered solid fantasy outings with his dual threat ability. Expect him to post QB1 numbers in what could be a pass heavy game script. The game script allows him to have a safe floor and a high ceiling where I feel condiment he will produce 20 plus points this week.

Week 6 Tight End Rankings

Tier 1

1.    Trey McBride @ IND

2.    Jake Ferguson @ CAR

19. Harold Fannin Jr. @ PIT

Tier 5

20. Mark Andrews vs LAR

21. Evan Engram @ NYJ

22. AJ Barner @ JAC

23. Jonnu Smith vs CLE

24. Chig Okonkwo @ LV

Must Start: Tight End

Juwan Johnson vs NE

Johnson remains one of the Saints’ most reliable red zone weapons, and with New England struggling to contain tight ends, he’s a solid streaming option and fringe TE1 play this week. He has had a rough last two weeks, but I believe he will bounce back and post good numbers this week.

Week 6 Wide Receiver Rankings

Tier 1

1.    Puka Nucua @ BAL

2.    Amon-Ra St. Brown @ KC

3.    Jaxon Smith-Njigba @ JAC

7.    Garrett Wilson vs DEN

8.    Drake London vs BUF

Tier 3

9.    Deebo Samuel Sr. vs CHI

10. Davante Adams @ BAL

11. George Pickens @ CAR

12. Jaylen Waddle vs LAC

13. Courtland Sutton @ NYJ

14. Tetairoa McMillan vs DAL

15. Quentin Johnston @ MIA

16. Michael Pittman Jr. vs ARI

17. Ladd McConkey @ MIA

18. Xavier Worthy vs DET

19. Keenan Allen @ MIA

Tier 4

20. A.J. Brown @ NYG

21. Marvin Harrison Jr. @ IND

24. Zay Flowers vs LAR

25. DK Metcalf vs CLE

Tier 5

26. Stefon Diggs @ NO

27. DeVonta Smith @ NYG

28. Chris Olave vs NE

29. DJ Moore @ WAS

30. Tee Higgins @ GB

Tier 6

31. Matthew Golden vs CIN

32. Calvin Ridley @ LV

33. Khalil Shakir @ ATL

34. Jameson Williams @ KC

35. Romeo Doubs vs CIN

36. Wan’Dale Robinson vs PHI

Must Start: Wide Receiver

A.J. Brown @ NYG

Brown has been more than disappointing this year as he has only had one good week this year. However, he plays a bottom Giants defense where I believe Jalen Hurts will sling the ball around and the Eagles are looking for a dominate win after falling to the Broncos having a big lead. Brown will feast this game and will hopefully set his momentum going forward.

Week 6 Running Back Rankings

Tier 1

1.    Christian McCaffrey @ TB

2.    Jonathon Taylor vs ARI

3.    Bijan Robinson vs BUF

16. Derrick Henry vs LAR

17. Travis Etienne Jr. vs SEA

Tier 4

18. J.K. Dobbins @ NYJ

19. Jacory Croskey-Merritt vs CHI

20. Kenneth Walker III @ JAC

21. Rachaad White vs SF

22. David Montgomery @ KC

Tier 5

23. Alvin Kamara vs NE

24. Michael Carter @ IND

25. Jaylen Warren vs CLE

26. D’Andre Swift @ WAS

27. Chase Brown @ GB

28. Tony Pollard @ LV

29. TreVeyon Henderson @ NO

Tier 6

30. Rhamondre Stevenson @ NO

31. Kenneth Gainwell vs CLE

32. Zach Charbonnet @ JAC

33. RJ Harvey @ NYJ

34. Bhayshul Tuten vs SEA

35. Isiah Pacheco vs DET

Must Start: Running Back

Rico Dowdle vs DAL

Dowdle is facing a bottom run defense in the Cowboys, and he is coming of 206 yards on 23 attempts and a touchdown with 3 receptions for 28 yards. Depending on Chuba Hubbard’s status, Dowdle will feast and is set for another big game against his former team in the Cowboys.

Verdict

Week 6 features several juicy matchups across the board, making lineup decisions tougher than usual. Bo Nix looks like a safe play against the Jets’ shaky secondary, while Juwan Johnson has touchdown potential against New EnglandA.J. Brown should dominate New York’s secondary with elite volume, and Rico Dowdle could surprise as a productive flex against a soft run defense.

With injuries piling up and bye weeks in play, these must starts can give your roster the edge it needs heading into the heart of the 2025 Fantasy Football season.
