4 Dynasty Players for Rebuilding Teams to BUY (Dynasty Fantasy Football)

Nearly a month into the 2025 NFL season, it’s time to reconsider the dynasty values of some key players. Several players have either disappointed or surpassed expectations already this year, so the moves you make with your dynasty fantasy football team must reflect that.

This applies to rebuilding teams as well. Buying low on young assets who are about to skyrocket in fantasy value is an important skill worth mastering. It can allow you to add weekly starters to your lineup for little in exchange.

Trading for players at or near the floor of their values is vital to building a strong dynasty team. Even if a player has begun to perform in line with preseason expectations recently, the memory of a slow start to the year will still be in the back of every dynasty manager’s mind.

Capitalizing on this is paramount to success in the realm of team-building. Let’s break down four major trade targets to add to your rebuilding dynasty team right now before their dynasty values shoot upward.

Omarion Hampton (RB, LAC)

Omarion Hampton was a true blue-chip prospect coming into the NFL this offseason, and as such, was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers with the 22nd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

In Week 3, the former North Carolina superstar had a breakout game against a strong Denver defense, taking 19 carries for 70 rushing yards and his first-career rushing touchdown, while also converting seven targets into six receptions for 59 receiving yards.

Despite this, Hampton had a slow start to the season, and that is still fresh in the minds of his dynasty managers. Even if it costs a haul of assets, you should trade for Omarion Hampton before his production continues to align with what was expected of him before the season started.

The offensive line for the Chargers has struggled to create lanes for the rushing attack, but Hampton’s value as a receiver was evident in Sunday’s win over Denver. And, obviously, he’s a true weapon with the ball in his hands, possessing elite power, speed, and contact balance in the open field.

Now that veteran running back Najee Harris has unfortunately been placed on injured reserve with a season-ending Achilles tear, Hampton should be in line for a workhorse load of volume. Trade for him now while you still can!

Bhayshul Tuten (RB, JAX)

Rookie running back Bhayshul Tuten presents what is perhaps one of the best buy-low opportunities in all of dynasty fantasy football at the moment.

The rookie out of Virginia Tech had a quiet season-opening matchup against Carolina, but has since compiled 95 total yards from 19 touches as well as two total touchdowns during Weeks 2 and 3. It’s easy to see his value as a handcuff to veteran back Travis Etienne Jr., but many dynasty managers may not view him as a long-term asset.

The 23-year-old has looked undeniably explosive through three weeks of preseason action, putting defenders on skates and cashing in for multiple scores. The play of Etienne and Tuten was so impressive, in fact, that the team traded fellow running back Tank Bigsby to Philadelphia after Week 1, displaying their confidence in their running back room.

Tuten is a big play waiting to happen. His speed and athleticism make him capable of hitting home runs on the ground or through the air at all times. If he continues to play well with the volume he’s receiving, head coach Liam Coen may give him more touches.

The last time a Liam Coen-led offense drafted a running back in the fourth round was in 2024 with Tampa Bay running back Bucky Irving. Irving became a fantasy superstar by the end of the season and is still relevant for dynasty formats. If Tuten follows this pattern, you could be receiving a league-winner for the price of a young handcuff running back.

Matthew Golden (WR, GB)

We’ll be continuing our trend of rookies on this list by adding Packers rookie wideout Matthew Golden to the mix. Golden was selected with the 23rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft by Green Bay and has been off to a slow start. However, there are a few reasons why I believe he could still break out by the end of the season.

Golden presents elite athleticism. In college, he torched defenses with his speed and route-running, and we’ve already seen that translate to the NFL. In Week 2 against Washington, the Texas product sped past the defense on multiple occasions but was both overthrown and underthrown by quarterback Jordan Love, resulting in incompletions.

Matthew Golden is fast, good after the catch, and able to generate separation. If he can turn these unrealized fantasy points into real value, he could be on the verge of fantasy football superstardom as a rookie. However, he and Love must get on the same page in order for that to happen.

With top wide receiver Jayden Reed on injured reserve for 6-8 weeks or longer with a broken collarbone, Golden should get plenty of chances to earn his role as Green Bay’s WR1 in 2025.

Dalton Kincaid (TE, BUF)

Dalton Kincaid was one of my favorite tight end prospects of the last decade coming out of Utah, and it seems as though he’s finally proving those who believed in him to be correct. Kincaid has always had elite receiving ability, but struggled in 2024 after a strong debut season in 2023.

In his sophomore season, he battled injury while also seemingly not being on the same page as his quarterback, Josh Allen. This season, however, Dalton Kincaid has already caught 13 of 16 targets through two weeks for 151 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

He’s proven to be a threat in the red zone while also providing more consistent contributions in all other areas of the field. Kincaid is only 25 years old and still has an incredibly high ceiling at a volatile position in dynasty leagues. He could be a pivotal piece to future playoff runs if you trade for him now, before managers in your league realize that this could finally be Kincaid’s breakout season.
